MTB Clothing: Robustness and Freedom of Movement on All Terrains
Mountain biking is a demanding discipline that confronts the cyclist with varied, sometimes hostile environments and changing weather conditions. Whether tackling steep slopes in downhill (DH), linking technical trails in enduro, or seeking speed on cross-country (XC) tracks, equipment plays a fundamental role. MTB clothing must meet strict specifications: offering maximum resistance to abrasion, branches, and bad weather, while guaranteeing total freedom of movement and excellent body moisture management. This specific collection brings together technical pieces capable of supporting every pedal stroke with an optimal level of comfort, no matter the playground.
Moisture Management: MTB Base Layers and Jerseys
Layering technical clothing allows the outfit to adapt to the intensity of the effort. The first barrier against discomfort lies in the use of MTB base layers. Directly in contact with the skin, these garments act as an essential thermal regulator. Made from synthetic fibers or merino wool, they drain sweat to the outside to keep the body dry, even during the most intense climbs. MTB Jackets and Vests: Facing Climatic Hazards
Mountains and forests often impose their own weather rules. It is therefore essential to be able to insulate the body from wind, rain, or mud. MTB jackets & vests constitute the ultimate shield against these elements. A windproof vest, ultra-light and easily packable in a pocket or hydration pack, proves extremely practical for avoiding body cooling during a long descent or during breaks. Jackets, meanwhile, come in waterproof and breathable models. The most advanced designs integrate hydrophobic membranes, heat-sealed seams, and strategic ventilation, often located under the arms or on the back, to release excess heat. MTB bib shorts, with or without straps, are essential for absorbing shocks and limiting friction on the saddle thanks to their integrated chamois. Anatomy plays a crucial role in the design of technical cycling equipment. This is why the entire range of clothing is available in models for men and women. The chamois pads integrated into the shorts are specifically molded to match each morphology, thus guaranteeing adequate support at the ischial pressure points.
