Shimano Ultegra: the safe bet of the Japanese brand SHIMANO

The Shimano ULTEGRA range, the safe bet of the Japanese SHIMANO brand, is located between the DURA-ACE range, Shimano's best tehchnology suited to competition, and the 105 range at entry-level.The ULTEGRA group, intended for the road, is a reference in terms of transmission. Fast, light, reliable, it adopts the great principles of Dura-ace, with a more attractive price.

The range has been improved and strengthened year after year by introducing innovative components, including electronic components, on the Ultegra Di2 version.

The derailleurs, as well as the cranksets of the Ultrega series are compatible according to their version with the double or triple chain rings. Aluminium cogsets come in 10 or 11 speeds with a range of teeth to face all road profiles (flat, mountain, valley...). For example, there is an 11-speed cogset with 11 to 32 teeth.

The chains are light. As for the brakes, they are powerful and can be installed on almost all types of handlebars.

Electric derailleurs: Shimano Ultegra Di2

The Ultegra Di2 series is the latest technological breakthrough. It can be used to shift gears with instant accuracy, even under heavy loads, climbing, sprinting and weather conditions.The speeds change automatically; in order to do this, a simple pressing on one of the two electrical buttons, one placed inside the lever, and the other at brake level, is sufficient. The position of the front derailleur then automatically aligns with that of the rear derailleur (no need to make adjustments to the derailleur).

The system is powered by a small battery that would have an autonomy of about ab thousand kilometers, with a charging time of about 1h30.
